Technical Business Analyst (DevOps) @ Sheffield , UK / Hybrid
BA resource needed to assist existing DevOps staff across the portfolio of projects. The role will support a portfolio of projects, including analysis, planning, data extraction, app build, testing, migration, and post‑live support.
Ideal candidate: Technical Business Analyst with strong DevOps experience, familiar with tools such as Nexus/Sonatype, CI/CD & Jenkins, and Ansible. Must have:
- +5 years of experience in software delivery within banking, finance, or fintech.
- Independent worker with a “can do” attitude, quick learning, and strong ownership.
- Proven problem‑solving and adaptability – root cause analysis, incident troubleshooting, and solution development.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to build relationships with team and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of IT controls and best practice.
- Experience gathering, documenting, and validating business and technical requirements.
- Process improvement expertise – mapping, documenting, and analysing process flows for automation within a DevOps context.
- Proficient with Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
- Familiarity with database concepts and ability to query & analyse data.
- Additional language skills are an advantage.
- Experience with M&A, integrations, or divestitures is a plus.
