Overview Finance Director, York, North Yorkshire (Hybrid) — £110,000-£130,000 (depending on experience). If you thrive in commercially driven environments, enjoy leading people, and want to make a visible difference, this could be the perfect next step.The Role As Finance Director, you will be responsible for the effective stewardship of the companys finances, ensuring strong controls, insightful reporting, and forward-looking financial leadership.You\’ll lead a full-service finance function and work closely with senior stakeholders to deliver robust plans, support strategic initiatives, and continuously strengthen business performance.Key Areas Of Focus Leading the budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning processDelivering timely, accurate management accounts and statutory reportingOwning treasury, cash flow and working capital managementOverseeing audit, tax compliance and relationships with external advisersSupporting due diligence and negotiations on M&A activityDriving high-quality decision support for the leadership teamDeveloping finance systems, processes and people capabilityManaging relationships with investors, banks and group stakeholdersAbout You You\’ll be a qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / ACMA or equivalent) with a strong track record in senior finance leadership roles, ideally within multi-site and private-equity-backed environments.Youre commercially astute, confident operating at board level, and equally comfortable being hands-on when needed.
