A growing international manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Finance Director to lead finance across Europe. This is a senior leadership role reporting to the CFO, with significant exposure to regional operational leadership. Due to urgency, candidates available at short notice are strongly preferred. A temporary-to-permanent arrangement may be considered.
The Role
This is a commercially focused Finance Director position combining strategic insight with strong financial governance. You will play a key role in shaping regional strategy, driving performance, and supporting executive decision-making across multiple manufacturing sites across Europe.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a strategic finance partner to the CFO and regional leadership teams
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, scenario modelling and long‑term financial planning
- Develop robust business cases, investment appraisals and financial models to support growth
- Drive margin improvement and ROI across multi‑site manufacturing operations
- Lead monthly and quarterly performance reviews with clear P&L and variance analysis
- Ensure accurate reporting, strong GAAP compliance and effective internal controls
- Oversee audit, tax, VAT and statutory requirements across multiple jurisdictions
- Lead, develop and coach a geographically dispersed finance team while fostering strong business partnering
About You
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Solid experience within a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls
- Advanced ERP capability
- Proven experience in budgeting, standard costing, management reporting and variance analysis
- Commercially astute with strong analytical capability
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence at executive level
- Comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, multi‑site international environment
