We’re looking for an experienced Azure Support Engineer to join an ongoing financial services team, focused on cloud operations, automation, and AI transformation.

This role will begin with a strong support focus, managing Azure related tickets, incidents, and environment issues, and will gradually evolve into more DevOps automation and AI / GenAI engineering work (Azure ML, Databricks, Azure AI Foundry). It’s ideal for someone who’s comfortable in Azure platform support but interested in progressing towards AI and automation as the programme matures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support and troubleshooting across Azure environments (incident, request, and problem management).
  • Resolve tickets related to Azure services, networking, App Services, Key Vault, AKS, resource provisioning, and pipelines.
  • Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, YAML, Terraform, etc).
  • Automate support processes and infrastructure provisioning where possible.
  • Collaborate with cloud, data, and AI teams to stabilise and enhance Azure operations.
  • Support the integration and deployment of AI / GenAI workloads (Azure ML, Databricks, Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI).
  • Ensure environment reliability, monitoring, and adherence to cloud governance standards.
Skills & Experience
  • Prior experience in financial services or large enterprise environments.
  • Strong experience as an Azure Support Engineer, Cloud Support Engineer, or similar role.
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Azure services (App Services, Key Vault, Networking, AKS, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and IAC (Terraform, Bicep, ARM).
  • Exposure to AI / Machine Learning platforms such as Azure ML, AI Foundry, or Databricks.
  • Good scripting and automation skills (PowerShell, Bash, or Python).
  • Proven experience with incident and problem management tools (ServiceNow, JIRA).
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Nice to Have
  • Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (App Insights, Log Analytics, KQL).
  • Familiarity with containerisation (Docker, AKS) and Azure security best practices.
