We are partnering with a fast-growing, AI software business in London that is looking to hire multiple Forward Deployed Engineers as it continues to scale its engineering team.
This is an opportunity for a strong full-stack engineer who wants more ownership than a traditional software engineering role. You will work directly with customers, understand complex real-world problems, design solutions and build them end-to-end.
The Role
You will:
- Work directly with customers and non-technical stakeholders to understand complex workflows.
- Translate real-world problems into scalable software solutions.
- Build across the full stack, including frontend, backend, data models and AI/model layers.
- Own features and product areas from concept through to production.
- Ship production software quickly and iterate based on user feedback.
- Work closely with founders and senior engineers on technical and product decisions.
- Build AI-powered workflows around complex documents, operational processes, and enterprise data.
- Help determine which customer requirements should become scalable product features.
What We're Looking For
- Around 3–6 years' experience in software engineering or product engineering.
- Experience building and shipping production software used by real customers.
- Comfortable working across frontend, backend, APIs, databases, and data models.
- Strong problem-solving and product judgement.
- Comfortable speaking directly with customers and non-technical stakeholders.
- Able to operate effectively in a fast-moving, high-ownership environment.
The technology environment includes:
- Python
- TypeScript
- React
- Node.js
- SQL
- LLMs
You do not need experience with every technology listed. Strong engineering fundamentals, learning ability and full-stack ownership are more important.
Nice to Have
- Early-stage or high-growth startup experience.
- Founding engineer, early employee or entrepreneurial experience.
- Forward Deployed Engineering or Solutions Engineering experience.
- Experience building AI or LLM-powered products.
- Experience working directly with enterprise customers.
- Experience building products or features from 0 → 1.
Package
The position is based in Shoreditch, London, with an expectation of working predominantly from the office five days per week.
