Smart4Sciences is supporting a leading pharmaceutical organisation in the search for a QC Analyst to join their Quality Control team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to develop hands‑on experience in a regulated laboratory environment.
The Role
As a QC Analyst I, you'll support routine laboratory testing, sampling, and analytical activities while ensuring full compliance with GMP, SOPs, Data Integrity and Health & Safety standards. You'll work closely with senior analysts to deliver accurate results, maintain high-quality documentation, and continuously develop your analytical capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine sampling, sample prep, physical testing and analytical testing across raw materials, intermediates and finished products.
- Follow SOPs, GMP and data integrity principles to ensure compliant testing and accurate record‑keeping.
- Prepare samples, reagents and standards and maintain audit‑ready lab areas.
- Assist with method validations, method transfers and equipment care.
- Support documentation updates, SOP checks and training activities.
- Escalate issues related to equipment, reagents or documentation to senior analysts.
- Contribute to EHS tasks, including safe waste disposal and glassware management.
- Continuously develop skills in HPLC, Karl Fischer, dissolution and physical testing under supervision.
About You
Practical laboratory or QC experience (pharma experience desirable). Experience in HPLC, GC, UV-vis, FTIR, dissolution along with physical testing techniques for oral solid dose products. A genuine interest in analytical chemistry and QC.
Qualifications:
A-Level Chemistry (minimum) OR a Diploma/BSc in Chemistry, Analytical Science, Medical Lab Science or related field.
