Smart4Sciences is recruiting for a QC Radiochemist to join a leading Radiopharmacy organisation. This is an exciting opportunity for either a newly qualified graduate or an experienced analytical chemist to join a Quality Control team responsible for the testing and release of radiopharmaceutical products in a highly regulated GMP environment.
The Role
- Perform routine quality control testing of radiopharmaceuticals using techniques including HPLC, GC, r-TLC and Gamma Spectroscopy.
- Operate and maintain chemistry laboratory protocols in accordance with GMP and EU Pharmacopoeia requirements.
- Conduct raw material sampling, testing and release activities.
- Perform first-line maintenance and troubleshooting of QC laboratory equipment.
- Maintain accurate records, laboratory documentation, and fault logs.
- Support the development, implementation and maintenance of Quality Control and Quality Assurance systems.
- Prepare and update SOPs in line with current regulatory and operational requirements.
- Manage laboratory consumables, reagents, solvents and chemical inventories.
- Support the training of colleagues undertaking routine QC activities.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, GLP, MHRA, HSE, EA and local safety requirements at all times.
The Candidate
- BSc or MSc in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences or another relevant scientific discipline.
- Recent graduates and experienced candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Knowledge of analytical techniques such as HPLC, GC or related laboratory instrumentation desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work effectively within a highly regulated GMP environment.
