Opportunity for a Process Safety Engineer to join an award winning polymers and specialist chemicals manufacturer in Greater Manchester. As a Senior Process Safety Engineer you will be responsible for technical safety support, ensuring implementation of process safety and regulatory requirements including DSEAR and COMAH.
Duties include:
- Produce technical safety and process engineering deliverables
- Develop safety engineering philosophies
- Chair, lead and participate in process safety assessments / studies including HAZID, HAZOP and SIL
- Input to project design assurance reviews (P&ID, constructability, etc)
- Develop and implement functional safety plans
You should have:
- Degree qualified in relevant engineering discipline
- Relevant professional experience working as a Process Safety Engineer at a senior level
- Experience and proficiency in process operations
- Demonstrable knowledge of COMAH, DSEAR plus latest risk assessment techniques / relevant H&S legislation
- Demonstrable experience of leading safety studies (HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA)
- Technically proficient in all areas of process safety and loss prevention (HAZOP, PHA, etc)
