My client is an expert service provider to the chemical research, development and manufacturing industries, specialising in process research and development for manufacturing drug substance and other high value materials They are looking for a Process Chemist to join their team. Reporting to the team leader, you will be responsible for: Applying a broad understanding of fundamental principles of own discipline area combining knowledge of associated areas to solve problems and advance projects in a lab-based environments Advise from first principles on technical challenges, equipment issues and workflow Optimisation both within own project and supporting wider general development. Contribute technically to the qualification and writing of proposals. Mentor and coach junior and mid-level scientists. Leads safety standards in the laboratory in own work and compliance of team with safety principles, acts as a role model.Knowledge and Skills Industrial experience in pharmaceutical chemistry of 5+ years and a scientifically relevant PhD or alternatively 8+ years industrial experience post-masters/bachelors.
