Are you an experienced Regulatory Affairs professional with strong CLP classification and SDS authoring expertise? Do you enjoy being the go-to regulatory expert within a business and influencing product compliance from concept through to market launch? An established manufacturer supplying products across UK and international markets is seeking a Regulatory Affairs Specialist to join its growing technical team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied role combining chemical regulations, product compliance, artwork approval, and regulatory support across multiple departments.

The Opportunity

Working closely with R&D, Quality, Commercial and Manufacturing teams, you will play a key role in ensuring products remain fully compliant with UK and European chemical regulations. You'll be responsible for providing practical regulatory guidance, managing product classifications, and supporting the business through regulatory changes and new product introductions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, review and maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for a diverse product portfolio.
  • Classify products in accordance with CLP, GHS and UK regulatory requirements.
  • Assess formulation changes and determine regulatory impact.
  • Review supplier documentation and evaluate compliance implications.
  • Approve product labels, packaging artwork and regulatory claims.
  • Manage Poison Centre Notifications (PCNs) and UFI submissions.
  • Ensure regulatory information remains consistent across labels, SDSs and technical documentation.
  • Support internal teams with regulatory advice and compliance guidance.
  • Monitor emerging legislation and communicate potential business impacts.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and regulatory best practice.

To be successful, you will have:

  • Previous experience within a Regulatory Affairs position.
  • Strong knowledge of CLP classification and chemical regulations.
  • Experience authoring and maintaining Safety Data Sheets.
  • Exposure to PCN submissions and UFI management.
  • Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills.
  • The ability to communicate complex regulatory requirements to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience within chemicals, detergents, household products, industrial chemicals, manufacturing or a related sector.
