We're recruiting for a QC Technician to join a well-established manufacturer supplying high-quality products to global consumer markets. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a scientific background and laboratory experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment.

The Opportunity

As a QC Technician, you'll play a key role in ensuring raw materials, production batches and finished products consistently meet quality standards before release. Working closely with Production and other internal teams, you'll help maintain product quality while supporting the smooth running of manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out Quality Control testing on raw materials, in-process and finished products
  • Release materials and batches against agreed specifications
  • Investigate and record non-conformances
  • Support batch rework activities where required
  • Maintain accurate laboratory records and quality documentation
  • Update internal quality systems
  • Liaise with internal departments to ensure products are released on time
  • Maintain high laboratory housekeeping and Health & Safety standards

We're looking for someone who has:

  • A strong scientific background gained through education, vocational qualifications or hands-on laboratory experience
  • Previous experience within a Quality Control, laboratory or manufacturing environment (preferred)
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Experience within the chemical, homecare, household, fragrance, personal care or consumer products sectors would be advantageous, but is not essential.

Important Information: This position is based in Brixworth, Northamptonshire and starts at 6:00am. Applicants must be able to reliably commute to Brixworth for a 6:00am start each working day. Candidates living locally or with access to their own transport will be best suited to this opportunity. Please note that this position does not offer visa sponsorship. Applicants must already have the unrestricted right to work in the UK, as we are unable to support future sponsorship requirements.
