An established UK-based manufacturer in the personal care sector is seeking a Regulatory Executive to support the regulatory compliance of cosmetic products developed and produced at its facility. This is a hands-on, in-house role supporting both new product development (NPD) and ongoing compliance across a portfolio of branded and private-label products. The successful candidate will work closely with formulation, production, design, and commercial teams to ensure products meet UK and EU cosmetic regulatory requirements prior to launch.
Responsibilities include managing product documentation, reviewing formulations and artwork for compliance, coordinating safety documentation, and supporting product notification processes to ensure products are compliant and market-ready.

Skills & Experience- Essential
- Degree in Cosmetic Science, Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work cross-functionally
- Knowledge of UK/EU cosmetic regulations
- Experience reviewing cosmetic labelling and artwork with PIF preparation and CPSR coordination
- Understanding of cosmetic claims substantiation
- Experience in cosmetic manufacturing or product development environments
- Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure products comply with UK Cosmetic Regulation (Schedule 34 – retained Regulation (EC) No. 1223/2009) and relevant EU regulations.
- Review formulations against ingredient restrictions and regulatory annexes.
- Monitor regulatory updates impacting cosmetic products.
- Coordinate preparation and maintenance of Product Information Files (PIF).
- Liaise with external safety assessors to obtain Cosmetic Product Safety Reports (CPSR).
- Ensure documentation is complete prior to market release.
- Manage SCPN (UK) and CPNP (EU) submissions where required.
- Maintain accurate notification records.
- Review packaging artwork to ensure compliance with Article 19 cosmetic labelling requirements.
- Approve artwork prior to production.
- Support regulatory compliance throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Review product claims for regulatory compliance and substantiation.
- Maintain supplier and ingredient documentation including SDS, IFRA, allergen declarations, and raw material specifications.
