We are seeking an experienced Automation Project Manager to lead the deployment of Machine Vision and Barcode Scanning systems within advanced logistics and robotic environments. This role sits at the intersection of robotics, software, and industrial automation, delivering cutting-edge solutions across warehouse and material handling operations. You will work alongside multidisciplinary teams and global technology partners to implement high-performance systems in live operational settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of automation projects (planning → execution → commissioning)
  • Manage deployment of:
  • Machine vision systems (2D/3D cameras)
  • Barcode scanning solutions
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, software, and field services
  • Oversee integration with:
    • Robotics (AMRs/AGVs)
    • Conveyor and material handling systems
    • WCS/WMS platforms
  • Manage stakeholders including OEMs, vendors, and end customers
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget
  • Lead onsite activities including installation, testing, and commissioning
  • Drive Proof of Concept (PoC) initiatives to evaluate emerging technologies
  • Project Scope

    • You will work across a variety of project types, including:
    • Greenfield deployments – new automated warehouse builds
    • Brownfield projects – retrofits and system upgrades
    • System expansions – scaling robotics and vision capabilities
    • Decommissioning – transitioning legacy systems
    • Innovation / PoCs – testing next-generation vision technologies

    Requirements

    • Proven experience in project management within automation, robotics, or industrial systems
    • Strong understanding of:
    • Machine vision and/or barcode systems
    • Warehouse automation or material handling
  • Experience managing multi-disciplinary and multi-vendor environments
  • Familiarity with integration of hardware and software systems
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Willingness to travel and work onsite when required
  • Nice to Have

    • Experience with AMRs, AGVs, or robotic systems
    • Knowledge of WCS/WMS platforms
    • Exposure to PLCs or industrial control systems
    • Experience delivering Proof of Concept (PoC) projects
