We are working with a leading advanced manufacturing organisation to recruit a Quality Engineer. This is a key role within the Quality team, supporting operations, customers and suppliers while driving continuous improvement and ensuring compliance across complex manufacturing processes.

This is an excellent opportunity for a quality professional with experience in highly regulated environments to take ownership of quality activities and influence business-wide performance.

Responsibilities
  • Provide Quality support across operations, customers and suppliers to optimise performance and minimise disruption.
  • Lead and support root cause investigations (RCCA) for internal and external quality issues.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, FMEA, APQP and other quality tools.
  • Conduct data analysis and reporting using statistical tools (e.g. Minitab) to support business decisions.
  • Support and carry out internal and external audits, including customer and regulatory audits.
  • Review specifications to ensure compliance and protect business interests.
  • Work cross-functionally with engineering, operations and global teams to resolve quality challenges.
  • Maintain and improve Quality Management Systems (QMS) and associated processes.
  • Ensure ERP and quality systems are aligned with customer and internal requirements.
  • Promote a strong quality culture across the site, maintaining visibility on the shop floor.
Key Requirements
  • Degree qualified in a scientific or engineering discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience working within a complex Quality Management System environment.
  • Experience within aerospace, automotive or another highly regulated manufacturing industry.
  • Working knowledge of AS9100, IATF 16949 and/or ISO9001 (NADCAP awareness desirable).
  • Strong experience in root cause analysis, problem solving and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with statistical analysis tools such as Minitab.
  • Confident communicator, able to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience supporting audits and working with customers and suppliers.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
