The Role
We are seeking an HGV Driver to join our Hemel Hempstead branch, delivering building materials locally through multi-drop routes. You will ensure deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and professionally while providing excellent customer service.
Hours
- 42.5 hours, Monday to Friday
- Start times between 6:30am – 7:30am
- No overnight stays or late evenings
- Saturday rota (approx. 2 per month), paid at 1.5x overtime rate
Key Responsibilities
- Operate HGV vehicles safely and in line with regulations
- Load/unload materials securely
- Complete deliveries as scheduled
- Maintain accurate driving records and tachograph use
- Conduct daily vehicle checks
- Deliver excellent customer service
- Follow all health & safety procedures
Requirements
- HGV Category C licence (essential)
- HIAB/ALLMI and experience (preferred)
- Positive, professional, and safety-focused attitude
- Experience within a regulated or diagnostic environment (advantageous)
