Purpose of the role:
To lead and develop the finance function while providing commercial insight and strategic support to drive growth across a diverse and expanding group.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement robust financial policies, processes, and controls
- Own and oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
- Drive financial strategy and deliver commercial insight to support growth and investment decisions
- Partner with senior leadership on scaling, operational, and investment initiatives
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and reporting standards
- Produce accurate and timely management accounts and statutory reporting
- Analyse financial performance and provide clear, actionable insights
- Oversee transactional finance, including bookkeeping, payroll, and day-to-day operations
- Lead, manage, and mentor the finance team
- Support audits and liaise with external auditors
- Collaborate cross-functionally to improve financial processes and efficiency
Attributes:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
- Strong background in financial management and accounting
- Experience in fast-paced, growth-oriented or entrepreneurial environments
- Commercially minded, confident, and influential with senior stakeholders
