We are currently recruiting for a Customer Service Executive to join a busy and supportive team based in Luton. This is a fantastic temp-to-perm opportunity for someone with strong customer service experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and delivering excellent service to customers. This role will involve managing customer enquiries, processing orders accurately, and working closely with internal departments to ensure customers receive a seamless service.

Responsibilities

  • Responding to customer enquiries via telephone and email
  • Processing customer orders accurately within internal systems
  • Providing pricing information and applying discounts where appropriate
  • Handling customer queries and resolving complaints professionally
  • Liaising with internal departments such as transport, finance, production, R&D and warranty teams
  • Ensuring customer requests are managed efficiently and within agreed timeframes
  • Checking and releasing orders within the order archive system
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation

Daily Activity Targets

  • Processing approximately 15 orders per day
  • Handling 10+ customer calls daily
  • Responding to customer queries within agreed service levels
  • Ensuring order archives are reviewed and released within 24 hours

Skills & Experience Required

  • Previous customer service experience, ideally within an office or order processing environment
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to manage difficult conversations with customers when required
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
