Salary: £27,000 to £29,000

Working Pattern: Fully office based

Hours: 8:30am to 5:00pm

Our client is looking for a motivated and organised Buyer to join their team and support customer purchasing requirements by sourcing products, preparing competitive quotations and managing orders from enquiry through to completion. You will be responsible for managing your own workload, ensuring quotations and orders are completed accurately and within customer deadlines. Strong communication skills will be important, as you will regularly liaise with customers and suppliers by phone and email. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build a career within buying and procurement, with the opportunity to develop their commercial and supplier management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers
  • Review customer enquiries and requirements to understand their needs and identify suitable solutions
  • Source a wide range of products and obtain competitive supplier quotations
  • Review supplier quotations to ensure they meet customer requirements
  • Negotiate pricing, terms and agreements with suppliers where appropriate
  • Respond to customer and supplier queries and provide appropriate support
  • Manage quotations and orders, ensuring deadlines and requirements are met
  • Work closely with sales, operations and finance teams to ensure a smooth customer experience
  • Maintain accurate records and follow relevant procedures and quality standards
  • Work towards agreed sales targets and personal KPIs
  • Develop strong customer relationships and contribute towards repeat business
