SMT Recruitment are currently recruiting for a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative on behalf of our client based in Letchworth. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous warehouse or logistics experience looking to join a busy and supportive operations team.
Key Responsibilities
- Receiving and booking in goods upon delivery
- Conducting initial goods-in inspections
- Moving stock within the warehouse safely and efficiently
- Picking and packing customer orders accurately
- Preparing goods for dispatch
- Completing stock and inventory checks
- Ensuring customer orders are fulfilled to required standards and timescales
- Maintaining a clean and organised warehouse environment
- Following all warehouse health and safety procedures
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous warehouse, logistics, or dispatch experience
- Experience with picking, packing, and goods-in processes
- Basic understanding of stock control and inventory checks
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic IT and Excel knowledge beneficial
- Forklift Truck Licence advantageous but not essential
