Job Title: Assistant Warehouse Manager

Salary: GBP32,000 to GBP37,000 per annum

Working Hours: Mon to Fri (7am 4pm or 8am 5pm)

Location: Letchworth

About the role

Our Client is looking for a hands-on Assistant Warehouse Manager to support the day-to-day running of our warehouse. Working alongside the Warehouse Manager, you'll help lead the team, manage workloads and ensure customer orders are picked, packed and dispatched accurately.

This role would suit someone with warehouse supervisory or team leader experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Warehouse Manager with daily warehouse operations.
• Lead, motivate and support the warehouse team.
• Plan workloads to meet customer deadlines.
• Ensure stock is received, stored and dispatched accurately.
• Maintain stock accuracy and product traceability.
• Work with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe warehouse.
• Provide cover for the Warehouse Manager when required.
• Follow company procedures and BRCGS quality standards.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and hygiene.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Identify and report quality or compliance issues.

Essential Skills

• Previous warehouse supervisory or team leader experience.
• Experience leading and motivating a team.
• Good organisational, communication and IT skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
• Counterbalance and Flexi forklift licences.
• Experience in packaging, manufacturing or logistics.
• Experience working within a BRCGS-certified business.
