Job Title: Finance Assistant Location : Borehamwood Salary : £17.00 - £18.00 Hours : 8.00am – 4.00pm Monday to Friday Duration: Tempingminimum of 12 – 20 weeks What you want to know about this employer · Hugely successful global Distributer with over 35 years in the industry and a market leader · An extremely well organised, structured business with a warm family feel, a traditional yet down to earth culture Purpose of the role The Finance Officer will be responsible for supporting core financial processes, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with month-end where possible Responsibilities: Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and monthly reporting activities across multiple accounts and currencies Maintain sales and purchase ledgers, including invoicing, intercompany recharges, and reconciliations Oversee bank controls, supplier payments, expenses, and credit card reconciliations Validate purchase invoices, monitor exceptions, and support strong financial controls Supporting month-end processes, including the calculation and posting of accruals and prepayments Experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central would be highly beneficial Skills and Attributes: Part-qualified (AAT / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent), Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate financial records and spot discrepancies quickly Experience in transactional and month-end processes Confident user of accounting systems and Excel Organised and reliable, able to manage deadlines, prioritise workloads, and communicate effectively with stakeholders Thank you for your interest in this vacancy, advertised by SMT Recruitment (Smart10 Ltd), acting as an employment agency/business.
