A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Romford is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time, term-time only basis from September 2026.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with pupils requiring additional support, either on a 1:1 basis or within small groups. You will collaborate with class teachers and the SEND team to implement support strategies, encourage pupil engagement, and promote both academic and personal development.
The successful candidate will be patient, resilient, and committed to creating a positive and inclusive learning experience for every child.
Key Responsibilities- Providing targeted support for pupils with SEN
- Supporting children on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Assisting with personalised learning and intervention programmes
- Supporting communication, social, and emotional development
- Promoting positive behaviour and engagement in learning
- Working closely with teachers, SEND staff, and parents where required
