Location: Harefield, Hillingdon

Pay: £95– £100 per day (PAYE, Paid weekly)

Hours: 08:45 – 15:15 Monday to Friday

This is a specialist secondary SEND provision opening a brand-new site in Harefield, Hillingdon in September 2026. The school is seeking SEN Teaching Assistants to support children and young people with a wide range of additional needs, including moderate to severe and complex learning difficulties, sensory processing differences, and speech, language and communication needs, including autism spectrum conditions.

The successful Teaching Assistant will work within small class groups, supporting pupils with varying abilities and individual learning needs through tailored interventions and day-to-day classroom support. This is a highly rewarding opportunity for a patient, enthusiastic and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant who is passionate about making a genuine difference every day.

You will be joining a supportive and nurturing team within a new learning environment designed to help pupils thrive both academically and personally. The role involves working closely with students to help build confidence, independence and essential life skills within a safe, structured and inclusive setting. The provision supports children and young people aged 11–19 and delivers highly personalised teaching alongside specialist therapeutic and pastoral support. In addition to academic learning, there is a strong emphasis on social, emotional and communication development, with a clear focus on preparing pupils for adulthood and future independence.

Requirements

  • Have a caring, supportive and nurturing personality
  • Be available to start immediately and full time

  • Have experience of working with those who are non-verbal, pre-verbal
  • Have relevant experience of working with children, young people or vulnerable adults within an education setting
  • Be someone who is patient, caring and adaptable to each young person you will support
