This outstanding school based in Tower Hamlets, East London is looking to appoint multiple Teaching Assistants for a September 2026 start. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting pupils in their learning and providing general support to the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom. The school offers pupils an outstanding educational provision and a caring environment in which to reach their potential. It works with young people, aged 3‑19, who have severe and complex learning difficulties and learners with an additional diagnosis of autism and/or physical/sensory difficulties. Pupils flourish in dedicated facilities and alongside strong professional teams, enabling them to achieve their mission and trail blaze holistic learning. From bright, spacious classrooms, fully equipped indoor and outdoor play areas, to our inviting hydrotherapy pools and purpose‑built dance studio, learners are provided with the opportunity to explore their talents and shine in areas that they most enjoy.
Qualifications & Responsibilities
- Have a passion to teach outside of a mainstream environment, and a commitment to experience the unique opportunities of a special school
- Have a kind, caring, and compassionate nature which is used to plan and deliver inclusive, fun, and inspiring lessons
- Must hold Child and Adult DBS
- An ability to work as part of a team and a flexible approach to support the school’s requirements
- Be able to do personal care
