We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Health and Social Care teacher for a temporary teaching role from early February to late March. This is an excellent opportunity for teachers with experience in post-16 education to support students in Years 12 and 13.

Responsibilities

  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons in Health and Social Care.
  • Teaching the OCR Cambridge Technicals (CTEC) curriculum or quickly developing expertise in it.
  • Assessing and marking coursework, providing feedback to support student progression.
  • Supporting students' personal and academic development in a post-16 setting.

Requirements

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Health and Social Care.
  • Strong understanding of the OCR Cambridge Technicals (CTEC) curriculum, or the ability to quickly develop expertise in it.
  • Experience teaching post-16 students (Years 12 and 13).
  • Skilled in lesson planning, delivery, and assessment, including marking coursework.
  • Ability to engage and motivate students, fostering a positive learning environment.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Salary

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Health and Social Care.
  • Knowledge of or willingness to quickly develop expertise in the OCR Cambridge Technicals (CTEC) curriculum.
  • Experience teaching post-16 students (Years 12 and 13).
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons, assess student work, and provide constructive feedback.
