Business and Economics Teacher to join a successful and ambitious secondary school from September.

This is an excellent opportunity for an inspiring teacher to join a thriving department where students are encouraged to develop a strong understanding of business, finance and economics, preparing them for further education and future careers.

The successful candidate will teach engaging lessons that develop analytical thinking, commercial awareness and problem-solving skills.

The Role

  • Teach Business Studies across Key Stages 4 and 5.
  • Teach Economics at Key Stage 5, with the opportunity to contribute to curriculum development.
  • Plan and deliver engaging, challenging lessons that inspire students to achieve their full potential.
  • Prepare students for GCSE and A Level examinations, ensuring excellent academic outcomes.
  • Assess, monitor and track student progress, providing effective feedback and intervention where required.
  • Contribute to enrichment opportunities, enterprise initiatives and the wider life of the department.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
  • The Ideal Candidate
  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Has experience teaching Business Studies to GCSE and Economics to A Level, or the ability to teach both subjects confidently.
  • Demonstrates excellent subject knowledge and strong classroom management.
  • Has high expectations of students and a commitment to raising attainment.
  • Is an enthusiastic and reflective practitioner who enjoys working as part of a collaborative team.
  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
