Smart Teachers is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in North London for a Humanities Teacher (KS3 Only) with General Cover responsibilities to join the school from September. This is an excellent opportunity for a flexible and engaging teacher who enjoys working with Key Stage 3 students and is confident delivering lessons across Humanities subjects while providing general classroom cover when required. Full planning and resources will be available for Humanities lessons.
The Role
- Teach Humanities across Key Stage 3, including History, Geography and/or Religious Education.
- Deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that promote curiosity and achievement.
- Provide general cover across the secondary curriculum as required.
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour and learning.
- Work collaboratively with teaching and support staff to ensure positive outcomes for students.
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Has experience teaching Humanities at Key Stage 3.
- Is adaptable and confident delivering general cover lessons across a range of subjects.
- Demonstrates excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Is committed to safeguarding and supporting the wellbeing of young people.
