Childrens Mental Health Assistant in Harefield, West London.

£95-£100 per day PAYE paid weekly (salary is depending on experience and/or qualifications). Start date: September 2026. Hours: 08:45-15:15 (Monday to Friday).

The School and Role:

A specialist all-through school in Hillingdon, West London, the largest school SEN provision in the borough with over 300 pupils, are looking for a Childrens Mental Health Assistant to support young people and children with a diverse range of needs including moderate learning difficulties, sensory processing difficulties and associated speech, language and communication difficulties, including autistic spectrum disorders. As a Children's Mental Health Assistant, you will be based inside the classroom supporting students within education. Class sizes are small to ensure the needs of each pupil are met. You will be responsible for supporting their educational, social, and emotional development.

Requirements:

  • Have a caring, supportive and nurturing personality.
  • Have experience of working with those who are non-verbal, pre-verbal.
  • Have relevant experience of working with children, young people or vulnerable adults within an education setting.
  • Be someone who is patient, caring and adaptable to each young person you will support.
