Outstanding opportunity to join this famous global retailer on a contract basis. We’re looking for an experienced Solution Architect to lead the design and delivery of a new Retail PIM capability, which will form a critical pillar of a global retail and digital transformation. You’ll shape how product data flows across merchandising, supply chain, digital commerce, and customer channels at massive scale.
Key requirements:
- 5+ years as a Solution Architect in large, complex environments
- Strong Retail PIM architecture experience
- Syndigo PIM experience strongly preferred (others considered)
- Experience with Salsify, Akeneo, Informatica, inRiver, Stibo or SAP MDG desirable
- Understanding of product lifecycle, attributes, hierarchies, variants, taxonomy, and data governance
- Strong integration knowledge (APIs, middleware; Azure Integration Services a plus)
- Ability to architect configurable, scalable PIM services for evolving product models
- Bonus: product domain modelling, canonical models, data quality rules, event‑driven integration patterns
- A willingness to work on site 1-2 days per week
What you’ll do:
- Own end‑to‑end architecture of the global PIM platform
- Define as‑is, target, and transition architectures
- Design product data flows across PIM, ERP, supply chain, digital and product lifecycle systems
- Produce solution designs, diagrams, and interface definitions
- Govern delivery across SI partners and PIM vendors
- Ensure solutions meet functional, non‑functional, security, and data quality standards
- Work closely with data, integration, digital, and service teams
£575-£600 per day, Inside IR35. 6 months rolling. Reading.
