You’ll partner with stakeholders and systems integrators on high‑value transformation programmes spanning planning, stock, fulfilment and supply chain.
This assignment places you at the centre of a multi‑system modernisation landscape, providing architectural leadership across:
- Oracle Retail (on‑prem legacy estate)
- Assortment Planning (Board)
- Space & Option Planning (Board)
- Stock Optimisation
- RFID
- Sales Transaction Matching
- Windward
What You’ll Lead:
- Own the end‑to‑end architecture for stock operations systems across a major retail client.
- Define integration patterns, data flows, functional architecture and system interactions.
- Shape the technology roadmap, influencing design decisions with senior business and IT stakeholders.
- Provide architectural governance and oversight across multi‑disciplinary delivery teams.
- Operate in a hybrid model: 1–2 days per week in Reading, remainder remote.
What You’ll Bring:
- Strong background in retail application architecture, ideally across stock, planning, fulfilment or PoS.
- Proven experience designing large‑scale, multi‑system retail architectures.
- Solid understanding of retail processes, data flows and operational dependencies.
- Familiarity with TOGAF, Zachman or equivalent architectural frameworks.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement, communication and client‑facing skills.
£600-£650 per day Inside IR35. 6 months rolling.
