A major global consultancy is expanding its retail Enterprise & Solution Architecture practice and is seeking a contract Domain Architect with experience across a range of retail & stock operations applications. You’ll work with Tier‑1 retailers on large‑scale transformation programmes covering planning, stock operations and supply chain.
For this specific assignment, you’ll lead architecture across:
- Assortment Planning (Board)
- Space Band Option Planning (Board)
- RFID Sales transaction matching (Experience of 1 or more of the above considered)
What You’ll Do:
- Own Architecture for stock operations systems
- Define integration patterns, data flows and functional architecture
- Work closely with client stakeholders to shape roadmap and design decisions
- Provide architectural governance across delivery teams
- Work on a hybrid basis: 1-2 days per week in Reading, the rest remote
What You’ll Bring:
- Strong architecture experience within Retail applications
- Solid understanding of retail processes including stock, planning, fulfilment & PoS
- Familiarity with TOGAF, Zachman or equivalent frameworks
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and client‑facing skills
