We’re looking for an Integration Architect with deep Microsoft Azure expertise and a strong understanding of the retail domain. You’ll shape the integration strategy across a complex, high‑volume environment, ensuring systems, data flows, and customer‑facing platforms work seamlessly at scale. This is a hands‑on architectural role where you’ll define patterns, govern integration standards, and guide engineering teams as we modernise our estate and accelerate our cloud‑first roadmap.
Key requirements:
- Proven experience as an Integration Architect in Azure‑centric environments.
- Strong hands‑on knowledge of Azure Integration Services: API Management, Logic Apps, Service Bus / Event Grid, Azure Functions.
- Event‑driven and microservices patterns.
- Solid understanding of retail processes and systems (e.g., POS, OMS, WMS, ERP, product and pricing data flows).
- Experience designing integrations for high‑volume, real‑time or near‑real‑time environments.
- Strong grasp of security, IAM, and API governance in Azure.
- Ability to communicate architectural decisions clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Experience with modern data platforms (Databricks, Synapse, Fabric).
- Knowledge of integration testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
- Exposure to enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, SAFe).
What You’ll Do:
- Own the end‑to‑end integration architecture across Azure services, APIs, and on‑premise systems.
- Design scalable, secure, and reusable integration patterns using Azure Integration Services (APIM, Logic Apps, Service Bus, Event Grid, Functions).
- Lead solution design for retail‑critical integrations: POS, eCommerce, ERP, supply chain, merchandising, and customer platforms.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and data teams to deliver robust, event‑driven and API‑led architectures.
- Define integration governance, standards, and best practices across the organisation.
- Support migration from legacy middleware to modern cloud‑native integration approaches.
- Provide architectural oversight during delivery, ensuring solutions meet performance, resilience, and security requirements.
