Outstanding opportunity to join this global technology business who specialise in delivering enterprise scale architectures specifically for the hospitality, travel & retail sectors. Typical projects include content management, content delivery networks, eCommerce, mobile booking & reservations and point of sale (PoS).
We’re looking for an experienced Digital Architect to partner with the Principal Architect and shape a series of high‑profile, in‑flight initiatives on the 2026 roadmap. This is a hands‑on architecture role where you’ll design, guide, and influence delivery across multiple digital domains.
What you’ll work on:
- You’ll play a key role in designing and governing solutions for upcoming roadmap initiatives, including:
- Optimising online sales channels and travel agent booking flows
- Improving group booking journeys, including meeting packages and operational processes
You’ll produce High-Level Designs (HLDs) and Low-Level Designs (LLDs), ensuring delivery teams build in line with architectural intent. With delivery teams based offshore, you’ll be a visible, collaborative partner, removing blockers, building trust, and ensuring smooth execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create HLDs and LLDs for digital initiatives
- Ensure LLDs produced by delivery teams align with the overarching HLDs
- Work closely with offshore engineering teams, providing clarity, guidance, and architectural oversight
- Support quarterly increment planning, OSDs, and early‑stage solution shaping
- Collaborate across Customer, Digital, and Commercial domains to ensure cohesive end‑to‑end solutions
- Build strong relationships with product, engineering, and architecture stakeholders
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong understanding of hospitality (ideal), or experience in retail or travel environments
- Broad digital domain experience, ideally covering customer‑facing journeys and commercial platforms
- Proven ability to work effectively with offshore delivery teams
- Comfortable producing both HLDs and LLDs and governing delivery against them
- Strong communicator who collaborates rather than blocks
- Able to be in the London office twice per week (the rest remote)
£525-£550 per day OUTSIDE IR35. London & 75% remote. 6 months rolling.
