Smart Solutions is recruiting HGV Class 2 (Category C) Drivers for household waste collection work in Yate, Bristol.
What's on offer?
- £18.50 per hour for the first 40 hours
- £27.75 per hour for overtime after 40 hours
- £27.75 per hour on Saturdays
- £37.00 per hour on Sundays
- Monday–Friday, 6:45am–3:15pm
- Temp-to-perm opportunity after approximately 10 weeks
- Potential £5,000 joining bonus after six months of permanent employment probation, subject to eligibility and terms and conditions
The role
You'll drive a refuse collection vehicle on residential household waste routes, working alongside two loaders. This is an active, hands‑on position involving outdoor work and assisting with waste collection and manual handling.
What you’ll need
- Valid HGV Class 2 / Category C licence
- Valid Driver CPC and digital tachograph card
- No more than 6 penalty points
- A reliable, safety‑conscious approach
- Comfortable undertaking physical work outdoors
