Smart Solutions is currently recruiting for an experienced and reliable HGV Class 2 Driver to join a busy operation in Wolverhampton. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driver looking for stable full-time work, guaranteed hours, overtime opportunities, and additional daily bonuses, working with an established and professional business.
Pay & Benefits
- £14.50 per hour
- Guaranteed 45-hour week
- Overtime paid at x1.5 for all hours worked over 45
- £10 early start bonus for shifts starting before 4:30am
- £3 daily meal allowance
- £26.50 night allowance (where applicable)
- Full PPE and uniform provided

- Death in Service benefit – x4 annual salary after 6 months service

The Role
- Safely operate HGV Class 2 (18t – 26t) curtain-sider vehicles
- Collect and transport waste materials including aerosols, oily rags, and paint products
- Complete daily vehicle safety checks and report defects promptly
- Use tablet-based systems to complete job records and vehicle logs
- Follow all transport, road safety, and site health & safety procedures
- Deliver a professional, helpful service to customers on-site
- Maintain high operational and safety standards at all times
What We’re Looking For
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- ADR and Moffett qualifications are preferred (but not essential)
- Experience with hazardous waste or curtain-sider vehicles is advantageous
- Reliable, professional, and safety-focused attitude
- Good communication skills and customer-focused approach
- Flexibility for early starts (from 4:30am)
