HGV CLASS 1 WALKING FLOOR DRIVER

Up to £49,590 OTE
£15.26 per hour basic | £19.07 per hour overtime
Smart Solutions are recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers for a permanent opportunity with our client in Widnes, operating Artic Walking Floor trailers.
If you’re looking for a permanent Class 1 driving role with Monday–Friday working, guaranteed hours and regular overtime, this could be a great opportunity.
THE ROLE
- Driving Class 1 vehicles with Artic Walking Floor trailers
- Completing collections and deliveries safely and efficiently
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting defects
- Maintaining accurate digital tachograph records
- Following Driver Hours and Working Time regulations
- Providing professional customer service at collection and delivery sites
PAY & HOURS
- £15.26 per hour basic rate
- £19.07 per hour after 40 hours
- Saturday: £22.89 per hour
- Bank Holidays: £30.52 per hour
- 40 guaranteed hours per week
- Monday to Friday
- Regular overtime available
- OTE up to £49,590 based on an average 58-hour working week
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Valid UK HGV Class 1 licence
- Valid Driver CPC
- Digital Tachograph card
- Safe and responsible driving approach
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Reliable and punctual
- Walking Floor experience preferred, but experienced Class 1 drivers with transferable experience may also be considered
