FLT Driver / Warehouse Operative – Tipton
We are currently recruiting for a hardworking and reliable FLT Driver / Warehouse Operative to join a busy warehouse team based in Tipton (DY4).
This is a hands‑on role combining forklift truck operation with a range of manual warehouse duties.
The successful candidate will be safety‑focused, physically fit and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Counterbalance Forklift Truck to load, unload and move goods around the warehouse.
- Load products onto vehicles in line with company procedures and health and safety standards.
- Carry out general warehouse duties including handling, sorting and moving stock.
- Complete demolition of non‑returnable products following company procedures.
- Assist with receiving, storing and organising materials within the warehouse.
- Complete quality checks on incoming and outgoing goods.
- Use warehouse systems accurately to record stock movements and maintain inventory records.
- Maintain excellent housekeeping standards to ensure a clean, safe and organised working environment.
- Report any health and safety concerns, damaged equipment or operational issues.
- Support the wider warehouse team with additional duties as required.
Requirements
- Valid Counterbalance FLT licence (essential).
- Previous experience operating an FLT within a warehouse environment.
- Physically fit and comfortable carrying out manual handling tasks throughout the shift.
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking with a positive attitude.
- Good attention to detail and ability to work accurately.
- Strong understanding of workplace health and safety procedures.
- Must be willing to complete a DBS check due to the nature of materials handled on site.
