HGV Class 2 Driver - Skip & RoRo
Location: Sheffield
Pay: £16.50 per hour
Overtime: £24.75 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, with start times at 06:00am
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join our busy Sheffield team, operating skip and RoRo vehicles across the local area.
This is a hands‑on role for a professional driver who takes pride in safe driving, excellent customer service and maintaining their vehicle to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate HGV Class 2 skip and RoRo vehicles
- Deliver, exchange and collect containers from customer sites
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly
- Ensure full compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards and road laws
- Follow all site, transport and road safety procedures
- Provide a professional, helpful and customer‑focused service on site
- Support the wider transport and depot team at the Widnes site
- Maintain a clean, safe and well‑presented vehicle
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Valid Driver CPC
- Valid Digital Tachograph card
- Proven HGV driving experience
- Experience within the waste management sector is highly desirable
- Good knowledge of vehicle maintenance, safety regulations and driver compliance
- Reliable and professional approach to work
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Practical and customer‑focused attitude
- Flexible approach to operational requirements
- Ability to work Monday to Friday with start times at 06:00am
