Pay Rate: £16.90 per hour (Overtime paid at time and a half)
Shift Pattern: 24/7 rotating shifts
- Day Shift: 6:00am – 6:00pm
- Night Shift: 6:00pm – 6:00am
- Rotation: 4 days on, 2 days off, 4 nights on, 6 days off
- Additional cover shifts available and paid at time and a half
Responsibilities:
- Operating mobile plant safely and efficiently around the site
- Sorting recyclable materials from conveyor belts into the correct waste streams
- Removing contamination and non-recyclable materials to improve recycling quality
- Assisting with the processing and segregation of waste and recyclable products
- Maintaining a clean and tidy work area throughout your shift
- Following all health, safety, environmental, and site procedures at all times
- Reporting hazards, equipment faults, unsafe conditions, or incidents to your supervisor
- Assisting with loading, unloading, and moving materials around the site
- Working efficiently to meet production and recycling targets
- Wearing and maintaining all issued PPE correctly
Requirements:
- A minimum of one valid mobile plant licence is essential (Loading Shovel, 360 Excavator, Telehandler)
- Previous experience operating mobile plant is preferred
- Ability to work rotating day and night shifts
- Good awareness of health and safety procedures
- Reliable, hardworking, and able to work as part of a team
