About the Role
Smart Solutions are currently seeking experienced HGV Class 2 (Category C) Drivers to join a leading recycling company based in Bridgend, Wales. This is a fantastic temp-to-perm opportunity for reliable and hard‑working drivers looking for long‑term, secure work. You’ll be responsible for safe and efficient collection, transportation, and delivery of recycling materials, working as part of a supportive and friendly team.
What We Offer
- £15.17 per hour, paid weekly, Fridays
- Overtime paid at 150% after 7.5 hours per day

Key Responsibilities
- Driving a Class 2 vehicle in a safe and compliant manner
- Collecting and transporting recycling materials
- Working alongside loaders and site teams where required
- Completing relevant paperwork and adhering to company procedures
- Maintaining vehicle cleanliness and reporting any defects
- Driving and loading duties as part of a refuse and recycling team
- Working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Manual handling required – ability to perform physical manual handling tasks is essential
- Full training and paid induction/driver assessment before starting
Requirements
- ✔ Valid UK Class 2 (Category C) Licence
- ✔ CPD Certificate
- ✔ Digital Tachograph (Digi Card)
- ✔ No more than 6 penalty points (minor offences only)
- ✔ Reliable, punctual, and safety‑focused
