About the Role

Smart Solutions are currently seeking experienced HGV Class 2 (Category C) Drivers to join a leading recycling company based in Bridgend, Wales. This is a fantastic temp-to-perm opportunity for reliable and hard‑working drivers looking for long‑term, secure work. You’ll be responsible for safe and efficient collection, transportation, and delivery of recycling materials, working as part of a supportive and friendly team.

What We Offer

Key Responsibilities

  • Driving a Class 2 vehicle in a safe and compliant manner
  • Collecting and transporting recycling materials
  • Working alongside loaders and site teams where required
  • Completing relevant paperwork and adhering to company procedures
  • Maintaining vehicle cleanliness and reporting any defects
  • Driving and loading duties as part of a refuse and recycling team
  • Working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Manual handling required – ability to perform physical manual handling tasks is essential
  • Full training and paid induction/driver assessment before starting

Requirements

  • Valid UK Class 2 (Category C) Licence
  • CPD Certificate
  • Digital Tachograph (Digi Card)
  • No more than 6 penalty points (minor offences only)
  • Reliable, punctual, and safety‑focused
