About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a reliable and professional Van Driver to join an Environmental Health Service operation in Norwich. The role involves driving a company van and delivering new council recycling bins to residential properties. You will be accompanied by a Driver's Mate who will assist with unloading and delivering the bins, making this a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working as part of a team while providing an essential community service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a company van to deliver council recycling bins
  • Complete deliveries efficiently and according to planned routes
  • Work alongside a Driver's Mate to unload and distribute bins
  • Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects
  • Provide a professional and courteous service to residents
  • Adhere to all road traffic regulations and health & safety procedures

Requirements

  • Full UK Driving Licence (Category B)
  • Previous van driving experience preferred but not essential
  • Good understanding of road safety and driving regulations
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
