360 Excavator Operator £14.00 per hour + £130 Weekend Bonus Monday to Friday | 6:00am – 5:00pm Occasional Weekend Work | 6:00am – 4:30pm

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced 360 Excavator Operator to join a busy recycling and waste management facility.

You will play a key role in supporting daily site operations by safely operating plant machinery and ensuring materials are processed efficiently.

An on-site competency assessment will be carried out, so candidates with expired or in-house 360 excavator licences are encouraged to apply, provided they have relevant operating experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate 360 excavators safely and efficiently within a busy recycling and waste management facility.
  • Load, unload, sort and move recyclable materials, waste and aggregates using appropriate attachments.
  • Feed processing equipment to maintain production targets.
  • Carry out daily pre-start inspections and routine maintenance checks on plant machinery.
  • Report any mechanical defects, faults or maintenance requirements promptly.
  • Assist with general site housekeeping, ensuring work areas remain clean, tidy and hazard-free.
  • Follow all health, safety and environmental procedures, including safe systems of work and risk assessments.
  • Work closely with site supervisors and colleagues to support efficient day-to-day operations.
  • Working Hours
  • Monday to Friday: 6:00am – 5:00pm
  • Occasional weekends: 6:00am – 4:30pm
  • Pay & Benefits
  • £130 weekend bonus when you have worked all five weekday shifts and are scheduled to work the weekend.
  • Opportunity for ongoing work within a well-established recycling operation.

Requirements

  • Previous experience operating a 360 excavator is essential.
  • A valid, expired or in-house 360 excavator licence will be considered (successful candidates must pass an on-site assessment).
  • Good awareness of health and safety within an industrial or recycling environment.
  • Reliable, hardworking and able to work as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work occasional weekends when required.
