HGV Class 2 Driver
Location: Melton Mowbray, LE13
Pay Rate: £17.00 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm (finish times may vary depending on business needs)
About the Role
Smart Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join a busy waste management team based in Melton Mowbray.
This is a varied role where you'll be responsible for driving a range of vehicles and supporting essential waste collection and environmental services across the local area.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Refuse Collection Vehicle (RCV).
- Drive a 7.5T vehicle to complete bulky waste collections.
- Carry out fly-tip clearances.
- Deliver wheeled bins and waste containers to customers.
- Assist with loading duties when required.
- Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
- Follow all health and safety procedures and road traffic regulations.
- Provide a professional service while representing the company.
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) Driving Licence.
- Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card.
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
- Previous experience driving an RCV or within the waste management industry is desirable.
- Willingness to assist with manual loading duties.
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
