About the Role: We are currently recruiting for an experienced and reliable Loading Shovel Driver to join a busy site in the Rainham area. You will be responsible for operating a range of mobile plant machinery, supporting daily site operations, and ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently within a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate mobile plant machinery safely and effectively
- Load, move, and handle materials across site
- Support day‑to‑day site operations
- Carry out routine equipment checks and basic maintenance
- Report defects, faults, and incidents to supervisors
- Maintain constant communication with supervisors and team members
- Follow all site health & safety procedures at all times
- Assist with general site duties as required
- Support investigations where required in line with company procedures
Requirements:
- ACOP or CPCS certificates for loading shovel 16800kgs and/or Telehandler / JCB kgs
- Experience operating mobile plant machinery
- Previous experience in waste, recycling, or industrial environments preferred
- Ability to work safely in a fast‑paced environment
- Strong awareness of health & safety procedures
- Reliable, proactive, and a good team player
Desirable Experience:
- Loading shovel, telehandler, 360 excavator experience
- Waste industry experience
- Experience with conveyors, shredders, or screening equipment
