About the Role
We are currently recruiting an experienced Loading Shovel Operator to join a leading recycling facility in the Lazenby area. Our client is a market leader in recycling and environmental services, operating one of the most advanced recycling sites in the UK. This is a great opportunity to join a busy, fast-paced site with long-term work available.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a Loading Shovel safely and efficiently
- Load and unload outgoing vehicles
- Feed processing lines and hoppers with materials
- Move and transport materials around site
- Separate and manage waste streams
- Empty chutes, bunkers, and processing areas
- Support general yard operations
- Work closely with site management and team members
- Maintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance
- Work safely in all weather conditions (wind, rain, dust, noise, etc.)
Requirements
- Valid Loading Shovel licence (essential)
- Wheeled 360 Excavator licence (desirable/required depending on site)
- Minimum 6 months experience operating plant machinery
- Experience in waste, recycling, or industrial environments preferred
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Strong awareness of health & safety procedures
- Able to work a 4 on / 4 off rotating shift pattern (days & nights)
