Multi-Skilled Operative – Waste Management
Location: Hull (HU8)
Hours: Day shift: Monday to Friday 6am to 2pm, or 3pm to 10pm (on a rota basis) Night shift
Pay: £15.26

Join a stable and safety-focused team where environmental responsibility is at the heart of daily operations. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Multi-Skilled Operative to secure full-time, ongoing work within a busy waste management facility in Hull.
The Role
You will play a key part in safe and efficient waste handling operations, operating mobile plant machinery and ensuring high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance are maintained at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a Loading Shovel and/or 360 Grab safely and efficiently
- Carry out waste handling and processing activities
- Load, move, and manage waste materials in line with site procedures
- Support waste sorting, segregation, and recycling operations
- Maintain high standards of site housekeeping
- Follow traffic management and site safety systems
- Complete daily plant checks and report any defects
- Accurately complete operational paperwork
- Work collaboratively with supervisors and site teams
- Comply with all HSEQ standards
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience operating a Loading Shovel and/or 360 Grab
- Valid plant tickets / certifications (NPORS, CPCS or equivalent)
- Background in waste, recycling, quarrying, or industrial environments
- Strong health & safety awareness
- Reliable, flexible, and committed approach
Desirable
- Previous waste management experience
- Additional plant machinery licenses
- Basic paperwork or system input experience
