About the Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced and reliable Mobile Plant Operative to join a busy site in the Leatherhead area. You will be responsible for operating a range of mobile plant machinery, supporting daily site operations, and ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently within a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate mobile plant machinery safely and effectively
- Load, move, and handle materials across site
- Support day-to-day site operations
- Carry out routine equipment checks and basic maintenance
- Report defects, faults, and incidents to supervisors
- Maintain constant communication with supervisors and team members
- Follow all site health & safety procedures at all times
- Assist with general site duties as required
- Support investigations where required in line with company procedures
Requirements
- Valid NPORS, Counterbalance, or 360 licence (in-house accepted)
- Experience operating mobile plant machinery
- Previous experience in waste, recycling, or industrial environments preferred
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment
- Strong awareness of health & safety procedures
- Reliable, proactive, and a good team player
Desirable Experience
- Loading shovel, telehandler, 360 excavator experience
- Waste industry experience
- Experience with conveyors, shredders, or screening equipment
