About the Role

We are currently recruiting an experienced Mobile Plant Operator to join a busy waste and recycling operation in Great Blakenham. This is a hands-on role operating a range of mobile plant machinery including Loading Shovel and 360 Grab (Selector Grab), supporting daily site operations and ensuring materials are processed safely and efficiently. You will play a key role in maintaining site flow, operating machinery, and ensuring all materials are handled in line with strict health & safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate Loading Shovel and 360 Grab (Selector Grab) safely and efficiently
  • Load curtain-sided vehicles using teletruck equipment
  • Load articulated lorries using loading shovel
  • Feed baler and support processing operations using 360 grab
  • Move, sort, and manage waste materials across site
  • Control traffic within tipping hall and operational areas
  • Inspect and sort incoming waste materials
  • Ensure finished materials are stored safely and correctly
  • Carry out machine checks and basic maintenance
  • Ensure accurate weighbridge and system recording (manual or electronic)
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment

Requirements

  • Experience operating Loading Shovel and 360 Grab (essential)
  • Valid plant tickets (in-house training may be considered)
  • Experience in waste, recycling, or industrial environments preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced operational setting
  • Strong awareness of health & safety procedures
  • Reliable, punctual, and team-focused attitude
