We are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Refuse Driver to join a busy environmental services team based in Aylesbury (HP19). This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced and newly qualified Class 2 drivers looking to gain experience in the waste and recycling sector. The role offers a minimum 12‑week assignment with the potential to become permanent.
The Role
- Drive a Rear Wheel Steer Refuse Collection Vehicle (approximately 25 tonnes).
- Complete scheduled refuse collection routes safely and efficiently.
- Work as part of a two‑person crew alongside a loader.
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
- Follow all road transport legislation and health and safety procedures.
- Deliver a professional and reliable service throughout your route.
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
- Valid Driver CPC qualification.
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
- Newly qualified drivers are welcome to apply.
- Ability to pass a driving assessment.
- Reliable, punctual and safety‑conscious.
- Comfortable working as part of a team.
