Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

About the Role

Smart Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced Loading Shovel Driver to join our client at a busy green waste recycling site in Colsterworth, Grantham.

This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and safety-conscious operator to join an established recycling operation, supporting the processing of green waste through shredding and screening activities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a loading shovel safely and efficiently, moving materials around the site, and ensuring the smooth running of daily recycling operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operating a loading shovel to move and handle green waste materials.
• Feeding green waste into shredders and supporting screening operations.
• Moving, loading and stockpiling materials around the site.
• Maintaining an efficient flow of materials to support site operations.
• Carrying out daily machinery checks and reporting any faults or defects.
• Following all site health and safety procedures.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.

Requirements

• A valid Loading Shovel Licence is essential.
• Previous experience operating a loading shovel is required.
• Experience within waste management, recycling, aggregates or a similar environment is preferred.
• A strong understanding of health and safety procedures.
• A reliable, hardworking and proactive attitude.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
